The Abel Tasman region is not only renowned for its walking tracks and spectacular beaches, its vineyards and wines but also for its arts and crafts. Whatever you'd like to try your hand at, I'm sure you'll find something to do here.
Founders Heritage Park, 87 Atawhai Drive, Nelson, Tasman
Lee Woodman will be working on a sculpture made out of recycled materials, mostly the thousands of books that are headed for the recycle centre at the end of the Founders annual book fair. Lee is constructing a piece entitled 'If Walls Could Talk' in the image of a derelict colonial cottage.
Pop along to Founders Heritage Park and watch Lee at work. Feel free to chat with him about his process, inspiration and the sculpture itself.
Presented by Nelson Arts Festival.
Time: 1.00 pm to 8.00 pm
